13 JAN 2026: Chicago Police Officer Mohammed Massoud received a handmade quilt from Quilts for Cops, presented by Chaplain Robert Montelongo, Chaplain Rafael and Chaplain Hysni Selenica. The presentation took place at Yaba's Food & Middle Eastern Grill in the Logan Squar neighborhood. Thank you! Yaba and Officer Massoud for your generous hospitality. On 23 Nov 2025: Officer Massoud and his partner Officer Jay Cuaresma were responding to a 10-1 emergency call. As they were going through the intersection at Western and Grandville, a vehicle driving at a high rate of speed disregard the red-light signal and struck the mark police vehicle. The impact caused their vehicle to spin into the medium. Both officers suffered head and multipole bodily injuries.

01 JAN 2026: On Christmas night and New Year’s Eve, some of my elves and I visited a dozen districts to distribute care packages made by about six generous high school students. The bags, filled with candy, gum, beef jerky, etc., put smiles on a lot of faces…as evidenced here!
