On 10 SEP 2016, the 8th graders at Bridgeport Catholic
Academy (attached to Fr. Dan Brandt's old parish, Nativity
of Our Lord at 37th and Union) hosted a fundraiser
car wash. They raised well over the cost of one bulletproof
vest for a Chicago Police Officer, in support of the
Chicago Police Memorial Foundation's "Get Behind the Vest"
initiative. Here are pictures of the children presenting a check to Phil Cline, CEO of the Chicago Police Memorial Foundation, after the police Mass at Mercy Home on 25 SEP 2016.
